Long story short, the last 2 times I've taken my leo out of this cage and held him.. he's vomited. I haven't seen any vomit in his cage, only when I hold him. Could this be due to nervousness while being held? And if so, what are some things I could do to help prevent this?

Can you give us a little background on him? How old is he, how long have you had him, how much/often do you feed him, and how his tank is set up?

Vomiting (or regurgitation) can be caused by several things. Some Leos will overeat and then regurgitate their food because they ate more that they can process at one time. Stress can also cause regurgitation, this is why it's a good idea not to feed geckos the day their being shipped or going to an expo. Disease or illness can also cause it and is commonly accompanied by abnormal stools.

I'm not certain how old he is... but I got him at Pet Warehouse about 8 months ago (on Sept. 17, 2009). He was one of the ones they had bred, or bought from a breeder.. whatever the average age is that they start to sell them.
The feeding pattern is odd, but its what they used at the store. Feeding on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I usually stick 12 in there at a time. But he doesn't eat them all at once.
His tank is a 15 gallon, and doesn't have much in it. Reptile carpet on the bottom, a small cave in one corner, and a log in the other.. with a water dish in between the 2 hides.
