Hey guys,

I want to get another leo but house her/him with my current female aurora, I was wondering if this can be done or would they fight?

Well, the only thing is, you need to quarantine the new gecko for at least a month to be sure you don't contaminate your other gecko if it turns out to be sick with something contagious. I usually go two months.

If you get a male, they WILL breed, and they will constantly breed if they are constantly kept together. You must be prepared to supplement the female with enough calcium and nutrition during gestation and you must decide if you are ready for 10 little hatchlings after one season.

I think you should get another female, if you're just beginning. Females generally get along fine together, so long as they're in a large enough cage. you don't have to worry about the female being overbred and as long as you provide enough food in different areas of the tank they should be ok. It should be about 10 gallons per gecko per tank. So two geckos would need a 20 gallon.

Then there's the possibility that they'll fight anyway. It happens. They usually work it out by themselves...UNLESS they injure each other it's best to let it happen and resolve by itself.
