Hi everyone, i am new here..

and just wanna ask something bout the morph thingy..

for example..enigma 66%..what is that 66% meant? :main_no:

66% usually refers to the probability that the gecko carries a genetic trait. Like, Tangerine 66% het Tremper would be a Tangerine that had 2 parents who were het Tremper giving each of their offspring a 66% chance of being het Tremper. Hope that makes sense. Maybe someone else can word it better.

Also, Enigma is dominant so that isn't a trait that would really be listed that way. It could be Enigma 66% het for some other trait though.

just knew that its a enigma 66% het tremper..so that means that particular one is 66% carrying tremper gene?

Possible hets expressed as a percentage are a way of communicating probability. Each individual animal either is or is not- the percentage is the chance, based on Mendelian averages. Each offspring produced is calculated separately, it's a measurement of odds.

Fo shizzle. And there is more than four squares in the punnet squares these days with all the cross breeding. IMO unless you buy from a trusted breeder, don't plan on buying to breed. Gekks is pets.
