I posted something about this once before and only got 1 reply, hoping for alittle more reassurance.
My red nightlight/nighttime heat lamp burned out a while ago, I have a bluedaylight/heat lamp and a UTH, is the UTH enough for at night? I use papertowels to line the bottom of the tank. Dont want the little guy to freeze, but at the same time he shouldnt have that daylight on all the time. I was told leos only need belly heat at night...he spends alot of his time on the inbetween side of the tank, but Id still like him to have proper temps.

ALSO has anyone else had that problem with ZooMed bulbs? this is the 2nd bulb thats burned out in a 2 week period.:main_angry: Im totally broke right now so I cant really get another one too easily.

You need to measure the actual temperature in order to tell whether sufficient heat is provided. Generally speaking, if the ground temperature above the UTH is above 90, then that should be ok. What is your room temperature? It should be fine as long as its not too low (<70).

About the light bulbs, mine seems to work fine so far; could it be your fixture that's causing these bulbs to blow?

I don't use any lights at all and the geckos are fine. As Bonnie said, measure your floor temps. If the UTH isn't providing enough, add a layer of aluminum foil to the bottom so the UTH is sandwiched between the bottom of the tank and the aluminum foil.
