I left my leos in the care of a pet sitter while I was out of town on business. I came back home and two of the three are lethargic and cold. One is constantly soaking in the water dish. The girl I hired doesn't know much about them and can't tell me when they started acting this way. They might have been exposed to extremely cold temps while the heater was turned off while I was away. I came home to a house with no heat and 40 degree weather and no one will fess up to turning off the heat... all my bettas froze to death while I was gone too. :(

Anyway, what can I do to help my girls? I can't stand the thought of them dying this way.

When I found my bearded dragon cold and lethargic after I returned from a short vacation, I gave her a shallow warm bath, and it perked her up (or warmed her up?) a bit. She began moving and was more active, etc.

So you could try a quick shallow warm bath just to warm them up. I'm not sure if it will make them better or worse though. Have you turned the heaters back on?

Heaters are on, they've been misted with warm water, no real response from either.

Reptiles bodies slow down when they're cold even to the point where they can't move themselves. They need to warm up to get moving again. How long have they been warmed up now?

Respitory Problems

Misting Them or a humid hide?
Respiratory problems can develop from too humid, especially
if they were cold already.
Not sure how much cold temp. they can handle,
but things should be gradual on rewarming.
There are comments of COLD geckos on shipping that appear dead
and will revive, but info to say room temps. first to avoid shock
of 90 degree habitat. Good Luck. Take care. HJ

I'm sorry to hear that. Thats why its key to get someone who knows how to care for them properly. I agree with the warm bath. Maybe even wrapping them in a heating pad or blanket and holding them for a bit

They've been warmed up for about 24 hours now. Could they be impacted from being too cold and not being able to digest?

That's what I was thinking....you mentioned one of them just keeps soaking themself in the water dish...if I am not mistaken, I believe this is a sign of pain?
