So, I had to help my leo shed for the first time. At first, he didn't totally like the water, but i made sure he didn't climb out and he didn't really resist. So, I start taking off the remaining skin (it was like a complete belt of unconnected skin--and I could tell it was bugging him and I felt so bad!) and he actually seemed to enjoy it!! He just sat there and he even closed his eyes (sooo adorable). He even made a little noise--it wasn't a scared noise, I don't think, it was more of like a content noise!

What I was just curious about was do some leos actually enjoy baths? Or did he magically know that I was getting the irritating skin off of him? :D

Plenty of leos enjoy sitting in their moist hides, or their water dishes if you forget to keep the moist hide moist during a shed. If the skin was coming off more or less smoothly, I don't imagine it would be less comfortable than if the leo were completing the shed by itself - but without all the work! :tongue3:

Once they get over the shock and realize it feels good, they don't seem to mind. If they get accustomed to daily baths it relaxes them like for administering meds n stuff. I have a desert lizard that has learned to love baths.
