water for baby mealies

I use carrots with my subtrate. I have approx 3000 mealies and 200 beetles both chew threw the carrots wothout any problem!

For a while I had a folded paper towel for the mealies that I would mist (I had mold and clumping issues- why you should never buy instant meal...). It worked great until my mister got commandeered to correct the dogs. The number of times that has happened... anyway- you have to change the paper towel on occasion as it gets all holey. I like that better than directly misting the oats. Now I do put in the veggies, though- with my new parrot I have lots more veggie and fruit scraps.

I wouldn't use paper towels for the worms. Like you said it was getting holey, that means they are eating. I couldn't imagine that being healthy for the geckos.
