My youngest gecko is about 2-3 months old and about just over 5 inches. I was wondering if I could feed him/her waxworms and if so, how many and how often? I'm already feeding 3 mealworms and 2 crickets a night.
Waxworms are like all fat, he will gain alot of weight that way but I would not feed them to him every day. Maybe once a week and that is pushing it. Is there a reason why you want to feed him waxworms instead of what he gets now??
I've never owned a small Leo I bet they grow quick tho. I would give them to him once a week. Hopefully he is active, if not that fat might build up. I would stay on crickets and mealworms man. I know wax worms are cheap at bait shops but I wouldn't feed mine more then once a week.
I have waxworms for my bearded dragons and i always see videos of people feeding waxworms to their leos and I wanted to know if it was ok to feed it to my leopard geckos
Righty-O. I've also heard that if you feed them too much your leo may not want anything else. Every few weeks, I'll get some waxies and give each of my leos a couple once a week or so until they're gone.
The high fat and becoming addicted to them makes me not wanna try them. I wonder if they would work for a Leo who isn't eating, kinda like a stimulant to eat.
