Waxworms for egglaying girls?

I know that waxies are fattening and I only feed them every once in a while more as a treat, but for gravid females is it ok to feed calcium dusted waxies a little more often to keep some weight on (when they are eating--like after she lays)? I have one girl (my first that I have bred) that is in the 60 gram range and I'm pretty sure she's gravid. I will try to get some pics, but camera is on the fritz today. Anyway, she's only lost a couple of grams and I understand that it's normal not to eat much before laying. However her tail is starting to look a little smaller and I'd like to keep as much reserve on her as possible.

I do add waxworms to my breeders' diets when they're actively breeding and laying. Seems to stave off some of the weight loss. ;)

Thanks, Debbie! Now that I am looking at her more closely and looked at some pics from a month or so ago, her tail really isn't much smaller. I think it just looks that way compared to her body because she's getting so fat! lol I am just an overworried first time Mommy!
