We have some gravid females

I'm so excited we have 2 gravid females for sure. Both of them are very close to laying as well, they've been digging a bunch tonight. They're two proven breeders, a bell hybino and mack co-dom. We have 5 other females that have been bred, but many of them werent ovulating yet. We'll have to put the males in again soon, hopefully the females will be ready that time around.

Anyways, I just thought I'd share. We're really excited. I'm crossing my fingers for a better season this year...I don't even want to think about last season. Ugh.

I just found our first two eggs of 2007, woohoo! One egg was less firm than the other when I marked them, but they are recently laid so I'm sure they'll harden up soon. Hopefully we'll luck out and they'll be fertile. I'm so excited.

Thanks guys! The mom is a bell hybino from Kelli who produced a few for us last year and the father is het bell. We're hoping for some snow eggs in the next day or two!!

Gravid means that the lizard/reptile has eggs. It's like being pregnant but since they don't usually give live birth it's called something different.
