Tonight I put most of my breeders in their groups for the season. They'll be together till October, or whenever I have enough caging to hold the males, after I sell next season's babies. This year I'm planning on (for the leos) 4 males, each with 2 females. Only 5 of the 8 females are big enough this month. Here's is what's gone on so far with the "mass wedding":
Eragon (tremper) and Zora (Mack Snow stripe het albino): a lovely reunion from last season (My Geckotime article "fun with hets" was written about them), at least Eragon thinks so. He's rattled his tail twice but Zora "isn't ready". He's backed off. In a month or so his daughter, het blizzard, het tremper, possible snow will join them
Galaxy (hypo Mack snow) and Ginger (snow blizzard) and Butterscotch (Raptor): Galaxy is hanging out "downstairs" and the girls are huddled together "upstairs".
Sunny (hypo tang with orange spots) and Nectar (tang tremper stripe): Sunny's interested, but, so far, discreet. Nectar is trying to figure out how to get out of the cage. They will be joined by my red-orange SHCT eventually.
Saffron (patternless red stripe het tremper) and Harvest (snow tremper stripe): have not met yet. Harvest just got moved into the breeding cage and will get a day to get oriented before having to cope with another change. They will be joined eventually by my bold stripe.
As you can see, I'm really looking forward to my 8th season.
