So yesterday I went to Wally World and was lucky enough to find a small gram food scale for Tiamat for $15. (I wasn't expecting to find one so fast.) A lot of people talk about weighing their geckos to make sure they're healthy and since I don't have a good herp vet around here I feel I should be a bit more particular about my leo than most people do with their dogs or cats. So I weighed Tiamat as soon as I got home and I was very pleased to see that she's a healthy 35g. Even though she hasn't been eating much recently (a few meal worms and maybe a super every other day to every two days) she doesn't seem to have lost weight. In fact, she seems to be gaining it. Which I guess is a good thing. Although I don't know how that's possible if she isn't eating much. I just know that she's gotten bigger and seems to have lost her appetite a bit since her last shed. :\

My question is how often should I weigh her? And when should I be worried?

From my experience weigh her every week.

If you suspect there is a chance she is ill I would weigh her every day to keep tabs on her weight. Kiya lost weight dramatically while she was ill, and that was one sign that something was seriously wrong. So the more you keep track when you suspect something is wrong, the easier it is to catch a problem before it gets worse.

That's what I was thinking. She hasn't been eating much at all lately so I'm very worried that's something is wrong, but she eats SOMETIMES. And I've noticed a correlation between the temps outside plummeting to -30 C and her not eating despite the fact that her tank is in the 80s. :\ Also the pressure outside has changed as well. Leos are weird to pick up on that kind of stuff. lol
