Weight Loss and Mouth Infection (long post)

Hey all,
I have two Leos, Sundance and Papaya, and both of them have a health issue. Sundance, a SHCT, has what appears to be mouth rot. She had a peice of stuck shed on her lip where the infection currently is. But I removed it when I first saw it, which was the day of. It has gotten worse, and in the past week it has doubed in size almost! :main_no: I have tried giving her warm water soaks and have tried to gently scrape it off but to no avail. On the other hand, Papaya, a normal, is rapidly losing weight. She used to be my chubby-wubby, but she is now quickly becoming my skinny little girl. She was ovulating a week ago, but is now done. Yet, she is still losing weight like a maniac. The thing that confuses me most, is that her temps havent changed (shes on a UTH with the hot side at 92 and the cool at 76) and her hides are at the same places. No new geckos have arrived and she hasnt changed feed. I am super worried about her because she is my first gecko and was 64g, but now is 52g in about 3 weeks. Both are on the UTHs with the same temps. No new changes to eithers enclosures have been made. I will post pics if any need them.

What to do?

I would try Marcia's Slurry (at the top of this forum) for Papaya. My female sometimes goes an entire month (when ovulating, and while she's gravid) without eating and then totally pigs out. If that doesn't work, I would bring her to the vet. You could probabbly take both geckos at the same time since Sundance's mouth rot really needs prescription medication. There's some stuff that's OTC, but i've never once heard of it actually working. Don't really know what your budget is but ideally, both geckos should be dewormed for parasites as well.

Do you think that Papaya's hunger strike could be casued by ovulating? I was looking at her and her stomach seems as round as ever, but her tail has lost almost 1/2 of its size. She is on paper towel, so i dont think she is impacted. I do not see any food matter in her stomach (arent they the brown areas on the stomach that you can see when they are turned upside down?) Also, for Sundance, I know of a good reptile vet just across town, but are herps more expensive than regular checks for dogs and cats? My budget is low becasue my mom is a single mom of 5 kids and she is on a teacher salary. Plus, mu older sister goes to Baylor University, so enough is said. Another thing, why do both geckos need worming? I have 4 total and I wear gloves for different cages (my mom is a health freak). I dont think that they are contaminated? But thanks for the reply.

UPDATE: I removed Sundance's abrasion on her lip, and it seems to be doing good. I did a LOT more research and found out it wasnt mouth rot. It was just stuck shed that I didnt remove completely. I felt super horrible. I put a 30:70 dilution of hydrogen pyroxide on a q-tip and put it on her lip, making sure NONE of it got in her mouth. So far it is healing well. As for Papaya, I have been putting her on Repti-Aid for insectivores for the past four days, giving 2 cc's to her every other days. So far, she hasnt given me more than urates to send to the vet for a stool analysis. She has gained 4g :D So they are both doing better.

Thanks for the help with this conflict. (It seems that a lot of people have been dealing with weight loss?) My little ones thank you.
