One of my leopards has lost 4 gm in 2 weeks I haven't seen him eating in a couple weeks but I see the other one eating all the time. Their temperature is fine and he is active and bright eyes. What else could prevent him from eating?

Are your geckos housed separately or together? If housed separately, how near each other are the cages? What gender is the other gecko?

They are housed together. When I got them the girl said she didn't know what gender the one was but the older one is a male. She said it wouldn't matter if they were both males cause they have been together and got along fine. I have never seen any fighting or aggression from either of them. The older one is the one not eating.

If they are not fighting and harming each other, they are not both males. I would try separating them and seeing if the one that is losing weight starts to improve.

Sometimes two males who grew up together do get along as long as there is no female in range. There is no guarantee and this can change. I highly recommend you have both sexed and separate if even one is a male. One is probably not eating either because the other is bullying it ("togetherness" is sometimes actually bullying, though not necessarily) or because you have a M/F pair and one is interested in mating.

Ok I am building a new habitat for them I will make two smaller ones and separate. I hate to but if Moe is bulling Stan than I will do it. If Stan is impacted for some reason what would be the symptoms besides not eating? I don't know if he is pooping i clean a lot of poop out but I don't know who it is. I think having them together makes it to hard to keep track of who is eating and who is pooping.

I've never known two males to get along and be able to live together. But then again, I'm not known to risk it so I guess I don't give them a chance to get along.

In the meantime...
Have you tried feeding them at separate times in a separate container?

I tried that yesterday moe just went crazy in the plastic tub and didn't didn't eat anything. Stan was left in the tank and looked like he was gonna get a cricket but then just walked right by it and went to sleep. I don't have anything else to separate them in I didn't want to leave moe with out heat for too long. My husband promised to get the habitAt done this week. I hope it helps Stan was so sweet before now he just sleeps all the time. So you think I should move moe first and leave Stan in the familiar tank alone for a while. I'm afraid the stress of moving my make him even worse

Thanks Lisa I was thinking that. The new glass doors won't be ready till mon. In the mean time I put a divider in the current tank.. I'm hoping this will be enough to get Stan to eat again without Moe stalking around intimidating him.

Stan ate a cricket today!!!! I gave him a warm bath 2 days in a row he seemed to like it. Don't know if it helped or what but he caught one and ate it. Maybe in the road to recovery????? I hope so

Stan and Moe are both doing really well. They both seem to love their new homes and are calmer and easier to handle. Thanks everyone for all the great advise.

Glad to hear that they're doing better! How often are you handling them? They're taking to it pretty well?
