I am worried about my Blizzard. He is acting strange lately. He is usually very very snippy and grumpy, hides all the time and runs like h*** from my hand.. but now he has been lounging out, very calm or when he tries to get away he is slower. What worried me the most is the way he is moving, he gets all stiff and will not move at all he just sort of rolls over. It seems he cant bend his back very well.. he will even roll over and stay on his back until I get him. He is eating, pooing and still making gargle noises at me.. but the way he moves is not normal. He has some stuck shed on his toes which I am taking care of but does anyone know what this could be?? His front arms go out sideways and flat like he is sliding when he walks..:eek::main_huh:

An inablility to right himself (or, flipping over on his back) sounds like a problem with the nervous system...i'd call the vet asap.

After his warm soak and an application of lotion on his toes I noticed that when he walks there is some stuck shed on the bottom of his right front foot.. one of his toe tips came off too. I think this is why he is walking the way he does b/c it hurts to stay straight on his foot since it is irritated. The shed must have been stuck for a couple weeks.. he isnt really the easiest to handle and to try to get him upside-down to peek at his feet is near impossible.. he is very very smart and fast- he bites hard!! If his behavior doesnt go back to normal soon after his toes heal I am taking him to the vet. I don't think its Mbd and if it is I have Neocalglucon.. nervous system dis... could be. I think right now its from the pain he is in from the circulation being cut off... I am keeping a close eye on him thank you for your input.
