Weird egg??

Has anyone on here ever had an egg change color or become transparent right before it is due to hatch? WE have one that is supposed to hatch any moment now and you can almost see through it and about two days ago it turned like this nasty looking color. (It's hard to tell if the actual egg is that color though, or if it's the geckos colors showing through the egg.) It's weird.

I can't remember who it was but I remember seeing a video awhile back and the egg was translucent like you described. The gecko in that one was actually spinning around every once in a while also.

Pictures would be great, video would be better!

I'm afraid to pick it up. (lmao) You can see it when you get it in the light, but the only way you'd be able to see it good with my ipod camera is if I pick it up, which I am terrified to do. (lol) I shall try tho.

I did have another question though: It worries me that the egg got so transparent all of a sudden and the fact that he's a little over due to hatch is worrying me as well. Is this one of the things that an be considered normal? (jw)
