weird hiss or no?

When my babies hiss, it is loud and high pitched.. the few of my juveniles that still hiss at me have a strange hiss, it sounds like a gargling hiss and is quieter than the babies.. that is the only way I can think to describe it.. is this normal?

Just hatched another out today and yes, her high pitch scream was in full effect after I squirted her tub down. It cracks me up!

They sound like mini dinosaurs when they do! Its totally normal.

I know the babies high pitch is normal..lol
I'm curious about the juveniles having lower gargly hisses.

eh, rango will make the gargly growl at night if he wants more food. He makes sure to climb to the top of his tallest hide and belt away. It was more of a kiss when he was younger.

They chirp, squeak, croak, purr (?) ......... they all have their own little voices once they get past the baby screech.

And croak is a pretty good way to describe it
I had never heard any of our juvies or adults hiss until tonight so when it wasn't a screech I wanted reassurance it should sound how it did

huh, mine's never made noise. I want to have vocalizations with my gecko! lol

she does stare at me intently when I come by and watches my fingers when I have mealworms, she also is very intrigued by whenever I rub two coins together. I can't tell if she doesn't like it or what but she comes over and watches it with unbroken attention. But never made a sound.

Clare used to hiss like a cat at me when I picked her up. Once she was up, she was fine and happy, she just didn't like the being picked up part. She doesn't do it any more though... I almost miss it.

This is almost like I'm being growled at. He doesnt even open his mouth much when he does it

haha my sub adults and adults do this when they dont want to be messed with

my sub/adults make a funny gurgly growly sound sometimes when they are frustrated or annoyed.
