As some of you "may" know, While trying to breed my so called female blizzard to my male hybino, the "female" rejected the male and they got intoa little tussel, resulting in a tear on my "female's" tail. (which ahs since healed). I had jsut thought that maybe she just wasnt ovulating. After giving her some alone time, without and stress of handling, I finally took her out and checked to see if she was ovulating. Turns out she was actualy a HE, and was jsut a late bloomer. THe first time I tried to breed him, there was no developed hemipenisis or V-shaped pores. No wonder they didnt breed!!! Im so pissed, she was sold to me as a female...

Some of you had thought that He was a "he", but there was no physical evidence, well you guys were right... lol!!

I do feel bad, but there was nothing I could do to prevent it.
Heres the proof! SORRY for the absolutely horrible pic, but you can faintly see the split hemipenis

I'm glad you were paying attention. You avoided tragedy, for sure. Sorry it messes up your projects, that does suck. :(

Well at least you caught it before it got out of hand. I happy that you figured out what he actually was and it sucks you have 1 less female :(

Yes,you are lucky that the tail tear was the only thing that happened. It is not a pretty sight to see males fight. Take the very calm nature of a leopard gecko and then throw 2 males into the mix. I made this mistake my first year breeding and it was a good thing I was there to separate them. They turn into miniature pit bulls. That was not good at all. neither gecko received any injuries..:)

Good to see you avoided certain tragedy... sorry to see you have to acquire some new female geckos...actually, acquiring new geckos is never a bad thing :)

Sorry that your breeding plans are not working out like you thought, but I am really glad that you were paying attention as closely as you were, and serious injury to either gecko was avoided.
