What age do they start breeding. I've read about 14 months, has that been other people's experience???

Also, is it bad to keep the male and female together when they are not breeding?? They are six months old and seem to like each other.

Liking each other is the problem. Leopard geckos WILL breed whether you want them to or not... even when they are not ready to.

The female should be a minimum of 50 grams and 9-10 months of age to breed, and the male can be a little younger and weigh a little less. Allowing your geckos to breed when they are not old/heavy enough can create severe health and life-related problems, and is not what I would consider to be responsible breeding.

They are 6 months old, when should I separate them? And after they are old enough and healthy can we keep them together, or should they only be together for short periods of time to breed?

You should separate them now...

I would not let them live together 24/7 year-round. You need to give the female a break from the male. I stick with short periods of time left to live together.

they should be weighed and put together when the fm is at a min. of 45 grams, but it doesnt sound like you have a scale, so waiting til theyre 9 mos wil work

We have a scale, but we've never weighed them because they are very skittish, but we will. After they are 9 months, how long can they stay together before they need to be separated again, if they can't be together year round?
