No really, I'm not sure. She is a Bell albino ghost. She might be a Mack snow as well, I'm not 100% certain. I was about 90% certain at birth but I doubt myself a little more each day as she colors up. I'll keep her and test breed her.

I am leaning away from the MS part myself, but what was the cross? The sole reason for my non mack assessment is that it has some very bold brown markings.

Very cool girl either way though:main_yes:

I know it doesn't look like a Mack now. LOL :p

I also do not have a baby picture.

Mom was a ghost het Bell and dad was a mack Bell.

I'll post a few other mack Bells later that are dark also.

Ok I have a noob question. I know my genetics pretty good now...but I was under the impression a "ghost" was the "hypo" form of mack snows..

"Ghosting" is a term that refers to a hypo trait that goes back way before Mack snows. Generally it is used with the Ray Hines line hypos. It is thought to be a co dominate trait. Whether it is or not I can not say with 100% certainty. I can say that in my experience when breeding my ghost line animals, I have recieved 50% normal tangy hypos and 50% ghost hypos. Now I'm also getting tangy ghost hypos and albino ghosts and tangy albino ghosts and Mack tangy hypo albino ghosts. lol Hence the confusion.

Alright the break down.
Starting with the original picture =

Bell Mack ghost
Bell Mack (99%)
Bell tang ghost
Bell Mack ghost
Bell Mack ghost (99%)
Bell tang ghost

All of this is just my opinion (ie, don't mean jack) so take it for what it's worth.

The tangs are very different looking in person, impossible for me to capture their look with the camera.

I know all too well about cameras changing the apearance of geckos(macks especially).

So what you are basicly stating(in your opinion) in so many words , is that the ghost gene seems to wash out the Bell tang ghost in the 5th image making it look mack like?

Being as I do believe you are "boldly going where no man has gone before:main_laugh: ", it's great to hear your opinion on the subject.

I bred a (mack?)ghost het bell to a few bells and can't wait to see what I hatch. I will surely document them for the learning experience alone. My first clutch went in the female cooker, so the 1st week of january we will see :main_thumbsup:
