What camera do you use to photograph your geckos?

I used to be really big into photography but fell out of it, because well life happens and there just wasn't time. I am wanting to get back into it but my camera is an older Minolta 35mm (at the time it was really advanced lol...that tells you how long it has been) and I need to upgrade into the digital realm. I see a lot of you posting amazing photos of your geckos and I am wondering what you are using? My iPhone 5 just isn't cutting it for the artistic shots.

I can't really justify spending very much on a camera, so I use a Canon Powershot elph 150 is

It's still pretty decent for being a point and shoot.

I'm using a Nikon D3200 with just the standard lens it came with. Honestly, I miss 35mm. I got the best pics from my N90S and F5.

When I do get my Photog bug I get out my Minolta and go take some shots and then head over to the local art center dark room. There is something calming about developing and processing all of your film/pictures. Unfortunately 35mm just isn't practical anymore. :(

I have been going back and forth between the Canon and Nikon cameras and I'm not sure which way I want to go yet. I have seen both put out incredible photos. I have found a major loyalty to each brand with photographers. Kind of reminds me of the PC/Mac or iPhone/Android debate... You like one or the other, no inbetween. Having come from Minolta I have to decide which team to support now. Haha

I use my old Canon Powershot SX110IS. I want to eventually upgrade to an SLR, though. This one works fine for now, though. The only problem with it is that it needs good lighting or it gets grainy. It's a little old now, but still has a good macro.
