What did I just find???

I just found this on my house. I caught it pretty easily after taking this picture. I live in FL and see small (clear looking) geckos all the time, but never have I ever seen something like this.. It's pretty big, haven't actually measured it but I'd guess it's about 6-7" head to tail.

It's a tokay. I know for fact there's a wild colony living in SW Gainesville.

A tad late. Those are cool to find. You actually live in Gainesville? I've never heard of the colony in SW Gainesville, I know where the colony is in NE Gainesville.

I used to live in Gaineville, for many years. Still have ties there. There's also a wild population of several different type monitors FFW is finding in south Florida.

Yes indeed there are. Florida is a hotbed for just about any form of heat tolerant reptilia. A pretty messed up place ecologically. Still, I continue to live here, so I can't hate it all that much. =)
