We have two females from him that will never be bred again (obviously) and we're going to find pet home for the babies. That being said:
One female has had two babies hatch so far (a lot of infertiles), one with a gimp foot and the other missing it's leg almost entirely.
We re-bred the Raptor female since we were getting infertiles but couldn't get her to stop laying and hatched a raptor with 3 toes on one foot.
I have to believe that it's genetic since the only common thread is that they came from his lines. The males we bred them to did not produce any deformed offspring with other females.
I just sent him this email:
(subject) I thought you'd want to know
We out crossed the (reverse stripe albino X Red Stripe) female we got from you and so far we've gotten 2 babies, one with a gimp foot and one with a missing leg. All of the other offspring from the male we bred her to have been normal. Diabla's last baby (after she was re-bred to an unrelated male) only has 3 toes on one foot. There haven't been any temperature fluctuations and those are the only leg abnormalities we've encountered all season. We're going to place all of those geckos in pet only homes. I just thought you might like to know since it seems like more than a coincidence. I would want to know if the situation were reversed so...

Do you guys think I handled that correctly? And have you had any experience with foot and leg deformities?
