Wondering what a good lay box set up is. I just put out a deli cup of hatchrite with no lid. With lid on, and hatchrite in, there is no room for gecko. If i lower hatchrite for gecko to fit there is hardly any hatchrite. If i put in 2 inches of hatchrite and then another 1 1/2 inch from lid (what it asks me to do on bag of hatchrite) The container is to high for gecko to climb in..... So lost on a good laybox setup. Can any of you post pics of what you are using????

I think I sent you a PM about it awhile ago: sterilite 1.2 liter (5 cup) container from supermarket 3/4 full of substrate with a hole cut in lid. Mine use it for humid hide as well as lay box and climbing station to get "upstairs".

I use rubbermaids ( I like the ones with the soft plastic lids- they are easier to get off) glad and even starware (these are 99 cents for 2) any container works really. I can get you a picture when I get home :main_yes: this afternoon. As long as they are about 4 inches tall whatever you use should be fine. My geckos usually kick out almost all substrate and lay on the bottom of the container anyways....

Here's a few.. the wooden hide was actually made from a salad bowl.

You can even stack them and make what I like to call "gecko bunk beds" ;) Three stacked on top of each other was okay, but they rarely used the very top one, so I just recommend keeping it to two :)
