What do you use for your waterdishes?

I'm trying to figure out what will be the best thing to use for my water dishes. Right now I have some small, shallow ceramic dishes I found at a petstore. Anything better?

In the future if I want to save money can I simply use bottle caps?

Thanks-

i prefer the kritterz ceramic bowls. they work well keeping mealworms in the bowl and are easy to clean. I just wish they cost less.

Whitney, since you live close... If you need them in bulk I can wholesale order them for you. Just drop me a PM.

I use those Japanese ceremic "soya sauce dish"; they are heavy and not easily tipped over. ;)

Oh, and I use Haagen Daaz lid (smallest ones) as calcium dish.

Another thing you can use that works pretty well for me is pretty much any plastic jar lid. In particular the small size Jiff or Skippy screw-on jar caps. Plastic is obviously a little better than metal 'cause it doesn't rust! ;)

Thats a clever ideal Jacy. I use gatorade bottle lids for calcium and I think they are Kritters rock shaped dishes for water and mealworm dishes. I got them for like $3-$7 each when Petco had them on sale.

I found some of the small terra cotta pot dishes that I use. I have 3 different sizes. I think the largest one was .59 cents at walmart and the small ones were like .30 cents.

I am waitng for the price to get back to me when i buy them by bulk, i have to order 500 at a time. And here is a pics of my hatchling setup with the blue bowls in it.

I will also be selling these pen lights used for Candleing the eggs, they work great ,and easy to use. (egg shown is a Fertile egg)

Baysidegeckos, thanks for the photos. If you begin selling them, shoot me a pm - I'd for sure like some of those.
