What Does 100% Het Mean?

What does 100% het mean. For example; "Mack snow 100% het typhoon". Thanks!

100% het means that the gecko is guaranteed by the seller/breeder to carry 1 copy of a recessive gene. Het X Het would give you 25% homozygous animals, 50% het animals, and 25% none heterozygous or homozygous animals. Homozygous animals carry 2 copies of the said genetics.

Mack Snow is a codominant trait, not a recessive one. So yes, no gecko can be heterozygous for a codominant trait.

In theory it isn't a textbook definition of being het but it is one copy of the Mack Snow gene. When you put it in a genetics wizard or into the punnet square, it looks like it is het. Het is used when talking about a recessive gene though.

That would be a mack snow 100% het for rainwater albino and 100% het eclipse

Het means the gene inherited from each parent is different, regardless of whether the relationship is dominant/recessive or codominant or otherwise. It is an abbreviated form of "het for wild-type and (mutant gene)."
