What does arm waving mean?

A couple of days ago, I was cleaning some of my leos tank so I lifted his warm hide and he was under it. He lifted his front right foot and did an arm wave for about 3 to 5 seconds. I've read that when bearded dragons do this its a submissive gesture. What does it mean when leos arm wave? Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of this behavior in leos.

i saw my gecko do that once when he caught his reflection in the glass. after that he started tail wagging.

My male Thicktail Mig has come right up to the glass while i was watching him and he stared right back at me and started moving his tail up and down in a circular motion. Was really weird but cool too.

My male also lifts a front foot and waves at me too.... strange but he is the quiet, shy type....

Yeah mine is pretty shy too. Its the first time i saw him do it and he hasn't done it since.
