Hey, just curious to see what other people on here got for Christmas from their friends and family who know you're into geckos... (post also if you got real live geckos!!)

I got a knitted scarf-gecko from my American mom, a handmade bronze gecko from my American brother who does blacksmithing, and an incubator from my American dad :D My German family didn't send anything gecko-related, but lots of good German chocolate which I miss terribly here :main_laugh: And my Polish brother-in-law sent me gecko cookie cutters, so I made a big plate of gecko cookies (babies and adults) for my whole church.

My kids and husband bought me a beautiful sterling silver and emerald gecko necklace! Which I absolutely love! I got Ron Trempers book, a PE-1 Temp gun, the Genetics for herpers book, and an incubator...not quite as nice as yours...but maybe I'll ask for one of those next year :)

That incubator was only USD 89.99. You can get it here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/gear/6ad2/images/

I've seen it advertised for in other places for over 120 bucks (exactly the same one), and this here seems to be the cheapest one for this kind of quality. Maybe you'll get one for your birthday :D

Hummmm:main_rolleyes:...my birthday is coming up....

Thats a great price! I clicked your link...but I dont see anything about a shipping cost, how much does that run?

Also I see that it has its own thermostat...so I guess I dont need a seperate one, or any other accessories?
Is it kind of a plug in, set and its ready to go type thing?

My boyfriend gave me this cute little gecko pendant necklace from Kohl's. It looks almost just like a leopard gecko with all the little stones being spots!

My UTH broke right before Christmas, after my family was done with their shopping, but a very generous breeder gave me a new one! It was the perfect gift.

I also redecorated my gecko tank and covered her humid hide with repti-carpet so everything looks much nicer, although I suppose that is more of a gift to myself :)

I'm very excited to have received a digital microscope and a Phrynosoma Manual, not a specific gecko item, but has a large detailed rehab section for lizards which some procedures can be used for geckos.

I have the same one. Have you switched yours on yet, and does it keep the temps steady?? I had to set mine to 83F in order for it to be at a constant 81F. I want to incubate at 82F, but I don't reach that. I'm afraid to set it to 84F, because I don't want to get any males. It might be because I set it to "mute," so it makes less noises and the fan rotates less. I'll try to set it to "normal" again. Let us know how yours works...

I got the Think Geek incubator, can't wait to put some eggs in there in a couple of months.
