What incubation temp is fatal for eggs?

I woke up this morning to only find out that my female incubator apparently "malfunctioned", and the internal temp was 79 degrees... It was set on 82. This could have been like this for a few days, maybe a week.

I have about 60 eggs in that one still, so I'm hoping the drop in temps didn't kill the eggs. This is now day 71 that the 1st ones expected to hatch are at... You think they might be fine, or should I cut open some of the day 71 eggs...?

Ah, i just want to scream!

79 deg wouldn't kill the eggs, but it would slow down the development of the babies. Before you consider cutting anything you should candle them and see if any of the eggs even look fully developed. I personally don't like cutting/pipping eggs.

I'd leave them let them hatch on their own, they should be fine. all but a little slowed in their development. they may hatch a little later then expected. fatal temps for leos would be below 75 and 95 or above as well as large fluctuations. hang in there and let nature take its coarse.

Thanks, I know the range is 81/82 - 90 for incubation temps, but didn't know if a drop to 78-79 would kill them.

I'm not a fan of cutting eggs open either, but my aggrivation got the best of me and I couldn't wait to see if a bunch didn't make it, so I picked the egg that had the lowest chance of something that I was really hoping for, so I picked an egg that was from Enigma het Raptor x Patternless Reverse Stripe... Especially since they are in a SIM, and eggs usually hatch alot sooner in a SIM. Luckily, it was still alive, and just about ready to hatch, so i think it will be fine... put it in a very moist, dark container, with the yolk still attached, and hopefully it will still soak up the rest. But it was moving, and started breathing, so it should make it. I picked the right egg to pip tho, turns out it is a normal, so if it doesn't make it, it still would suck, cuz you'd wish that none would die, but atleast its not something that I would hold back, yanno.
