What Incubators does everyone have

Being new I am facinated by all the different incubators that are available. This is the one I purchased...and am still waiting to try out.. It's from Lyons and I did a check out and it really holds the temp consistently. What does everyone else have?????

I think 90% of us have hovabators ... I saw the one you have go for like $350 on reptile auctions ... hope it works good for you

Marcia, Does the temp vary at all from top shelf to bottom shelf?

I also use Nature's Spirit incubators. The temps remain constant, there is a small fan in each one that keeps the air circulating. They are really good incubators.

There are 4 shelves, and I mapped the temperatures on each shelf's 4 corners and center and only saw about 1 degree variation.

I have a Hova. Got it because I was told two of my new SHCT's might be gravid, so had to play it safe. Haven't plugged it in and used it yet. Don't think I'll need it til next season .

I use an incubator that I made as a female incubator and for my rat snakes' eggs. This is a pic I took of it after completing it (it holds a LOT of eggs! )

This is the incubator I've been using as a male incubator as well as for most of my fat tail geckos' eggs. It's based on Hovabator technology, and it did right by us back when we raised birds and incubated parrot eggs, and so far it's done well as my higher-temp incubator.

I also make my own from medical shipping coolers and night lights. Pretty easy, pretty cheap but I'm not a breeder, just can't throw away the eggs. I think this is the last season the rescued adults will be together. But I will never forget the thrill of the first baby! Actually, every time I get a new baby it's a huge thrill.

Paul that's awesome! I just got my second Hovabator so I can have one for males and one for females. They're both on Helix DBS-1000 thermostats.
