This is what wiki has to say;
http://www.leopardgeckowiki.com/index.php?title=Emerald

Emerines are a line bred tangerine which exhibits emerald coloration on their body. The problem with Emerines now-a-days is that they tend to be every color EXCEPT emerine. A true Emerine will derive from Rons line of Emerines and have visual Emerine color. Some will hold their green throughout adult hood and some will fade as they reach maturity.

This is a Giant Emerine het Raptor and as you can tell his emerine dorsal stripe is fading into orange.

This girl has more green on her than he ever showed but is NOT Emerine in any way (green is the HARDEST color to ever get to picture well..ask anyone who produces them how hard it is to capture)

The moral of the story is that Emerine is a line bred trait, but not just from any line that throws a green gecko.

My favorite subject. Emerines that have no green in them at all! Lol! If its green, it's emerine!

In my opinion if there's no green and it came from an established emerine line, it should be labeled and priced as a low grade example.

Great explanation Travis.
