What do you think is better lids or no lids when using a rack? And if you dont use lids how much of a gap do you have between the bin and the top of the shelf?

i use both. lids for the hatchlings and lidless for the adults. i like lidless because of the increased ventilation, though i've had a couple escapes because a bin wasn't replaced properly.

All my geckos are housed in racks lidless will almost no gap. Its easier than having to keep opening and closing the containers, especially when feeding. It makes it much easier, faster and there is less chance of the gecko pushing its way out. And when its cleaning time I just use another empty container in my rack to hold them while im cleaning.

Go lidless with and keep the lids when you buy the containers. I dont feel enough ventilation is achieved when you use a lid...even if you have holes in your tubs.
