What is it?

What kind of gecko is this?? My mom found it at work and for some reason brought it home. She and he coworkers want me to find out what kind of gecko it is. It's about an inch or so long and aboreal.

It definetley looks like a House Gecko.. Hemidactylus turcicus maybe.. Here is a page with some pictures of adults [link].

I didn't even think of that! hmm... I gotta figure out how to let it out without upsetting my mom as she apparently wants me to keep the thing.

Haha.. They are pretty easy to care for. You could probably find a home for it. They are small insect eaters.. Ambient temp in the 70's. Small basking area of 78-82 or so.. Spray lightly 2 x daily. Try feeding daily while its young. Pretty straight forward care.

I could probably stick it in the other room, where the temps are warmer. But I don't have anything his size to eat. Even my small mealworms are twice his size... :-(
