Hey guys. This is my Giant SHCT male Titan. He belonged to my dad for a little over a year, and was a bit neglected. He lost most of his toes as a result of rough sheds. I took over on him when I noticed his condition. He's still a bit lanky for his size. Anyway, I've noticed this swelling, like a closed abcess or large blister on the side of his head. I see no signs of injury, it's not warm or draining, and he doesn't seem to care if I touch it. Any idea what this is?

At one time my outdoor box turtle had a swelling on his face too - in the area of the ear. It was due to an ear infection and was an abscess. It was cut out and no more problems.

Yeah, I'd definitely get that checked out. And give your dad a good smack :main_evilgrin::main_laugh:

I took him to the vet today, they opened it up and found nothing. He said it was either a swollen gland, or an old injury that healed up a little puffy. No signs of infection though, so he told me to just monitor it for changes and otherwise to leave it alone. He was skeptical about removing it because of how close it was to the eye. And another positive, he's about 50% fatter than he was in those pics, now he looks like a real giant.
