We recently got this little girl from a family who just did not want to have her any longer, she is two years old and after she bit the daughty who bought her ((at age 9)) she no longer had an interest in keeping her. My boyfriend and I are both somewhat new to the gecko world and are having trouble figuring out what you would classify her color as. Below is a picture of her ((still un-named so if anyone thinks of anything good that look like it would fit her let me know!!)) Can someone help us out? Thanks a bunch!

NOTE: Please ignore the date on the picture...dunno why thats there, but the camera must have not been set correctly XP It was taken today. 2/10/2008

I was thinking along the same lines as a super hypo. Thats a nice ct. Good luck with her.

Thanks. For not being handled for over half her life, she is still a very sweet gecko. Seems to like attention, though of course is still a little jumpy. Poor girl, her cage where we got her from was terrible. They had her in sand that had looked like it wasn't changed since they got her, and always had about two or three dozen large crickets in her cage. When we cleaned it out, my boyfriend found a very large cricket with wings already burrowed in the sand. They also didn't have any humid hide for her and she had a lot of shedding issues. She has tight skin around her toes, tail tip, and over her right eye((which is now doing a lot better since we got the skin off.)) So we're glad to have her with us now!

Looks a little small for two years, but what would i know?

How long should they be at 2 years of age? Shes quite healthy though so I am not too worried...but if she is smaller it may have to do with them not feeding her calcium her life, what are your thoughts on that? She has been getting calcium now though, in a dish and on her crickets, so it should help.

im no expert, but i thought mine was fully grown and then i went to a reptile show and found out she was about half the size of the ones that were a year old. Mine is only 6 months and looks to be about the size of yours so im just a little confused myself. It looks very healthy to me though.

Geckos come in different sizes. She's probably a bit smaller due to how she was taken care of. As long as she looks healthy and starts eating well she'll probably live a full life.

Anyways, congrats on the new addition and thanks so much for rescuing her! She's gorgeous :)
