What is this noise?

I've noticed a few times that when I'm handling Fleck, she'll make a soft "clicking" noise in her throat and bob her head at the same time. What is that? :main_huh:

A few of mine do that as if to say, "OK, I'm done with you now. Put me back before I start thrashing and hissing!"

LOL. After she does it, she never thrashes or hisses though. She's never hissed at me come to think of it

We just got a Bell from Robin that talks like that. He does it really loud too! Thank god she warned me about it first, it was pretty shocking to hear it for the first time. He only does it when he's being handled but he doesn't get wiggly or anything. I think it's pretty cute!

I'm glad she doesn't do it loudly! It it pretty cute. I love the little head bob they do at the same time lol

Christian's(geckofreak570) gecko clicked when I held it before then it wiggled. Watch out if it starts to thrash because they can move fast and thrash hard!!

One of my geckos makes clicking noises but doesn't usually thrash aroung or anything. It's kind of cute, I think.

Remember Geckos by enlarge are one of the few Lizards that have the ability to Vocalize; generally to deter predators. He was obviously perturbed for some reason and was letting you know.. they do all kinds of funny stuff.. my males will get on their hides when they smell an, "in season", female and will rattle their tale to let me know they want a shot at her..
