I use LED aquarium accent lights (red and blue).
I dont know if leos can see it or not, but it does not
bother them, and produces no heat.

They dont produce that much light, but they look really cool.
You stick them to the wall of your terrarium.
I have a red on one wall, and a blue on the opposit.
So the light meets in the middle, it's purple :D

They sell them in just about any pet store (in the fish dept.).
You have to get the seperate hub to plug the light into.
The lights and hub are all sold seperatly, and you do need a hub
to plug them in. The hub has space for 3 LED lights, and you can
get them in red, blue and green.

You mean you found them to be too expensive?

I thought they were reasonably priced considering they last a very long time.
Just think of how many incandesent colored bulbs you would go through, and LED saves energy too because the wattage is very low :main_yes:

Think of it's cost effectiveness!

just think about those compact flourescent bulbs they save energy and cost more than a regular bulb anything that can save you power in the long run costs more up front

Leopard geckos need heat. At least where im from. I was using an infared light for the better part of 5 years. A 50watt bulb supplied sufficient heat. In the summer i never used it at all. IVe recently switched to a moonlight bulb, with the same wattage and heat also it looks cooler and my apartment no longer looks like the Kenny Rogers Chicken sign lit up.(see that Seinfeld episode?, a funny one)
