Looks like a cute little tangerine. Time will tell if it becomes a hypo, meaning no spots on the head :) May even develop some nice carrot tail with time, that's the great thing with baby leos, watching them grow up. Good luck with the lil' one.

Looks like a young SHTB (Super Hypo Tangerine Baldy)

Super Hypo = No spots on the body
Tangerine = orange coloration
Baldy = no spots on the head.

If it develops orange on its tail without any black spots in it then it might be considered a carrot tail.

If it develops limited spotting on its body then consider it a Hypo Tangerine Baldy.

Are those wax worms in the bowl? Wow, that's a lot! You want to limit your feeding of those. They are extremely fatty.

Here's a picture of my adult SHTCTB, Solis:

I agree, deffinately a little baby Tangerine gecko. But still way too early to tell what kind... if it will grow to become a Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail, or what...

No, "Hypo" refers to the lack of spots on the body (very minimal, usually 10 or less). "Super Hypo" means no spots on the body whatsoever. The term "Baldy" is what you are thinking of where there are no spots on the head.

ok i will take them out, i only put it in because i thought my leo was way too skinny, i thought that would fatten it up alittle.. is it to skinny for its size and age? but i will take them out, i have a few meal worms in there too.. but he only ate like 2 wax worms and 2 mealworms in almost 3 days. it does not eat out of the dish yet, i was wondering if my dish might be too big for it but i dont think it is. this is only the 4th day i had it so maybe it is still afraid of everything. it only eats if i take a mealworm or wax worm and drop it on the floor in front of him.. then he will eat.. any more advice? thanks alot my the way

No, it's not too small for it's age... And there is no way that gecko is 3 or 4 months old. Thats a baby! Just hatched a couple weeks ago, my guess. Even if it were a dwarf, at 3-4 months old, it would still prolly be a little larger than that. And you can tell my the coloring on it's back that its hardly grown, because that coloration has yet to break up or look like what it will become as it ages (if that makes any sense, lol). But no, he does not need "fattening up" at that age. All babies look like that. Just feed them regularly, and he will grow up to size just fine. Baby gecko's tails are skinny like that, and as they grow, they then put on the weight... they are not born with it. So yeah, take out the waxworms. Do not feed waxworms to him at this age, cuz they are addictive, and u do not want it growing up only wanting to eat waxworms. As far as how much it is eating, it is eating just fine. Just remember, that small of a gecko has even smaller and tinyer of a stomach. So 1 or 2 small mealworms or 1 or 2 baby superworms would be enough to make it quite full for the entire day. And i have had babies that have eaten like 2 mealies every 2-3 days, and grew up just fine... they will eat more and more as each day passes. And depending on just how young it is, which u may never know, it could still be living off some of the yolk from the egg, so that may be some reason why it isn't eating much too... so take that into consideration. And yes, i would say that food dish is a little too high for a hatchling's age. He'd never see what was in it, unless you put something around it that elevated the ground a little bit where it walked. Either way, i usually don't put food dishes in with my geckos until they are atleast juvi size, and have established good eating habits, so that i know that when i put the dish in, that because it may take them a couple days for them to find it, that atleast they will be fine. But yes, droppin a mealie or 2 in front of him while he/she is this age, is just fine, and nothing wrong with it! Heck thats how some people feed all their geckos thruout their whole lives (so they know how much each gecko is taking in)!

Anywayz, hope this helped ya out a little!

Any more questions, feel free to ask! :thumbsup:
