purchased at petco for 19.99 so it could be anything. I was told based on her behaviors (star gazing for a good period at a time and darting out of her hide to greet us despite not being easy to handle (slight aggressiveness) that she might be an enigma. I couldn't get a picture of her eyes (unsexed but we're guessing) but her eyes are dark and not silver like some enigma pictures.

what is he/she?

Are SHTs usually temperamental? Ours is in attack mode every time our hand enters the tank. We've had her a month and have given her plenty of time to become acclimated.

I don't think this is an Enigma. The spots on its tail are a bit too bold for that; the colors don't look Enigma, and if the eyes are just Tangerine dark, it's probably not an Enigma. I would go with Super Hypo Tangerine Baldy, and possibly Carrot Tail (you can see a hint of it evolving; also a sign it cannot really be Enigma). Slight aggressiveness is normal in geckos as young as this one ;) If it's not an Enigma, it cannot have the Enigma syndrome; but there are also very few non-Enigmas that do star-gazing or head-wobbling (I have a Raptor female that does that).

I'm almost sure that Petco doesn't sell Enigmas (but it might be different in your area). Ours only has Normals and Tangs. It has a nice big tail and looks healthy! The star-gazing might just be nervousness because it's new to you and its environment.

Aren't the dishes a little bit too high for it? I put the calcium for my smaller hatchlings directly on the paper towel or into a low soda lid (just a hint).
