I picked up a rescued Leopard gecko and was wondering what morph I may have. I don't know anything of her parents, which I know doesn't help much, but it's worth a try to see if someone may know. Her name is Saphira.
I have one more question for you. I've had little Saphira for about three days now. I've seen her eat two mealworms and that's it. I'm worried about her lack of eating. She ate the first day I got her, but hasn't eaten since. is there any way to maybe get her to eat again? She seems to only eat when I drop the worm in front of her and it crawls, I tried it today again to see if she'd eat, but she just ignored it and crawled off. I've had four crickets in her tank and as of right now I only have seen one. So could it be she is filling up on crickets at night while i'm asleep?
I got two adolescent geckos about a month ago from a previous owner. One ate fine and the other didn't hardly eat for almost 2 weeks and stayed on the cool side of the tank. Now, she is doing fine and is eating 7 - 10 worms a day. I just gave her some time to rest up and get used to her home with me. I offered food everyday and left a few worms in the tank at night (no guarantee who ate them though. ..) she eventually started sleeping in the warm side and eating. Just took some time : )
I would just call her a normal. You will probably see some color and pattern change as she ages, too.
Please don't leave crickets in overnight. It can be stressful for the gecko and they can actually bite them. Mealworms are fine to leave overnight. I've never had issues leaving dubia overnight either.
Make sure your temps are good. If everything is set up right, she might just be stressed. If she starts losing weight, I would be concerned. Most younger geckos will start eating within a week of being in a new home. I've had older geckos take 1-2 months to eat.
