What Morph should I get?

I would like to get my first gecko But do not want to spend alot on it. I was wondering what morph I should get. I would also like to breed them too. Let me know Thanks!

Well if you dont want too spend a lot you still got pretty many choices honestly what I like is tangs,sunglows,or albino trempers.

You should get patternless...lol. J/k. Go with what you like. If you like normals, get those. It all really depends on how much you want to spend. Remember you're going to have to pay some pretty big prices for shipping. Maybe try some albinos or even hypos. Just to name a few possible solutions.

i got my first at a reptile dealer. its a mutt, and theres nothing wrong with that cuz i didnt really shell out for him. he has a small carrot tail and a stripe running down his back along with yellow highlights on his sides. he looks fine, but wouldnt breed anything good or sell for much. so my advice is, get what you find aesthetically pleasing.

I like Tangs, Bells, and SHTCTs personally. I agree with Jared though, go with whatever you like and you think is best for you.

Be ready to change your mind about 50 million times too. I started out with one tremper, and then I decided I wanted to start to breed them. So I got a SS. Then I was going to get something to match those two.........after changing my mind on projects to do, I just decided to buy a lot of them and see what I get. My new project idea is RAPTORs. I have 13 geckos now, and I started about 2-3 months ago. I do need to sell a few still though...lol. Want to buy a male RAPTOR for my project and I need to make space for him.

i would just go to a local pet store or a reptile expo becuase of no shipping i got a leopard gecko from petco and i foundout it was a SHTCTB for 25$

What you should get is one that YOU think is cool . Afterall, you are the one who needs to like it everyday.

Dont worry too much about what will sell or turn a profit. Unless you are ready to spend thousands of dollars, dont expect much money to come back out of it anyway. In a lot of cases, you wont make back what you spend even if you do buy highend. If money and returns are your concern, however, I find that line bred morphs tend to hold their value the best.

In the end, it all comes down to preference. The only advice i can give to steer you in any direction is buy something that could have exciting or varying outcomes. If you go with SHTCTs you will have the excitement of waiting to see how the color develops as they mature. If you buy something with stripes or reverse stripes, you will get the joy of watching some of your hatchlings come out as jungles and others come out with perfect stripes. If you invest in mid to high end recessive stuff, you better have the patience to plan out a two to three year project to get where you want or spend the money to get it in the first year. If you do something with co-dom traits, you could have a great time seeing the varying outcomes. Basically, I'd stick with tangs, stripes (albino or not), or macks as a starting breeder; but that's just my two cents.

And about not spending a lot... Don't be too excessive, but i have learned that if you buy something just because it was cheap, you'll turn around and get rid of it anyway to buy the expensive one you wanted later on. If you are buying a leo as a pet, it's a possible 20 year investment. You might as well fork up the money to get what you really like rather than get something you will grow tired of and save money.

I just started three weeks ago. I was interested in a snow but saw that hi yellows looked brighter so i got hi yellow. Then two weeks after i got a snow after all. My dad got a Tangerine too because it looked cool. It's all really confusing.
