I occasionally go to pet stores if I have an emergency need for crickets or mealworms or sometimes other things. You will notice that if you type the name of a big chain petstore in your post, the forum will automatically put asterisks instead of the name. I live near a big city so there are many branches of the 2 big chain stores that start with "P". I have visited all of them and know which ones treat their animals well. Those are the ones that I go to when I need something. There are also some privately owned pet stores. The prices are a bit higher but I support them when I can. If you have a choice of which pet store to go to, visit them and see if the animals are kept in good clean condition. If the age you have posted is your real age, then I assume you need your parents to take you to the petstore and maybe even to pay for some of the things you're getting. It makes sense to get crickets or mealworms from the petstore if you have only a few geckos. If you need a lot of supplies, it's cheaper to buy them from the same place online. I often used to buy things for my kids when they were younger online. They would find what they wanted and make the order and then I would use my credit card to complete the order.

I usually do what Tony does, buy online in bulk. But occasionally I will go to a pet store for emergencies.

You could buy a prepaid debit card if you want to buy from online vendors, just be sure to check with your parents first and deal with well known sites. When I do need to buy stuf locally I usually go to Pet Co, they have some decent deals at times if you sign up for their Pals card.
