Okay I've done some searching, but can't seem to come up w/ an answer, so I hope you guys don't mind me asking.

I know the hot side temps are suppose to be in the low 90's correct?? Is that all day and all night or do I need to cool that side down for night too?? (W/ an UTH, do you just unplug if you want it cooled??)

What temp should I have my cool side at?? I'd say the room temperature is around 75 so I'd assume that is what the cool side of the cage is too, but maybe not?? Any thoughts??

Also what kind of thermostats do you recommend?? I'm definitely on a budget, so cheaper would be better, but of course I want something that is accurate as well.

One last question, if I do need to make the temp higher, what is the best way to do it?? I know you aren't suppose to use lights right, not even the noctural ones?? So basically is natural light the best or should I be dimming that during the day as well??

BTW, my gecko is kept in a 20L aquaruim, in my son's room (his gecko) on top of his toy box. (Never opens it anyhow, so more of a shelf than anything.) His room is pretty bright though w/ 3 full windows in it.

Thanx. Jessie

im not 100% sure about the warmth of night time and day time im just pretty sure it should stay in the high 80s like 87 at day mabye lower it to high 70s at night? dont quote me i could be wrong lol and i think the cold side will be fine as long as he has a warm place to go to.

Hot side in the low 90's. Cool side whatever it is unless you live in the extreme north and never turn on your heat. UTH is the best idea, though some people do heat with lights. No need for a night time drop on the hot side. I find that most 20 gallon tanks with a 10-20 gallon sized UTH and ceramic tile floor will hold a temp in the low 90's without a thermostat, but if you need one, the cheapest and reasonably reliable are ESU (or Alife, I think it's the same) or Zoomed reptitherm.
