From now to August 31 I will be asking alot of questions and making a few threads. Okay, What size mouse should I feed my BP? I will be buying a few (say 20 or 30) frozen mice (or whatever size he needs) at the expo. A guy will be selling frozen rodents.

Thank you. :p

Haha. Wait, so when my male gets full grown, he will have to feed on full grown rats?! Oh my word.

I have a question... Can my male BP live in a 20 gallon long it's whole life?

Now that I have been thinking, I think I want a corn snake. I have been doing my research on corns for a few months now. I have always wanted a corn too. They coem in all types of colors, and perfect lenght when full grown for me.

I think I am going to buy a corn at the expo. Most likly, that's what I'll end up with.

Thanks to everyone who has hepled me out.

20 gallons is a little small. I moved mine once he was as long as the whole tank. If you plan on breeding, then a 55 gallon should be fine for both the male and female.

my female is 5 feet and eats jumbo rats once every two weeks. yes you can feed multiple little ones but i prefer one larger one. she has never had a problem eating them and her scales have never been stretched or messed up because of it.

if you do get a male though he will most likely be in the 3 to 3 feet size. my friend has a male thats four feet and he feeds him large rats.

oh one last thing lol sorry but i keep having thoughts after im finished posting lol

the reason i stick with the larger rats is because i dont wanna deal with blood oozing out of the mice lol even if i kill the mice before hand my python still wants to wrap around it and squeeze it like crazy...and since there so small makes them bleed from every possible spot :( kinda graphic. i have no problem with the larger size ones. ok thats all lol

Okay. Thanks.

Well, acpart just offered me a 40 gallon, bow front tank for only $40. The thing I want to know if I can put a uth under that tank. A ball could fit perfectly in a 40 gallon bow front tank. The measurments of that tank are 35" long, 17" deep and 20" tall. Do you think I should buy a normal ball python just to fill up this tank? I don't know if my mom would let me get another snake. She is paying for the corn snake, I know that. So I would pay for the tank, the ball, and the frozen prey for the two of them. Yes, there will be a vendor at the show that will be selling frozen prey items.

It's just I have not done alot of studing on the ball python..... So I don't know much about them. I could always try to get a nelson's milk instead or somthing. But I don't know. Cause a milk can fit in a 40 gallon bow front too......

I don't know...

What should I do??

I could also get another corn snake. My mom would pay for one corn (a candy cane) and I could pay for the other corn that I akso wanted; a butter or a butter stripe. I could also get a snow or a amel, they are pretty cheap. I already know the care of a corn snake and everything. I am going to try to convinse my mom to let me get another corn snake. If I do so, all I would need is a uth. I can make every thing else, just like I did with my other future corns setup.

Acapt said that I would prob have to redo the top of the tank if I was to put a snake in it. A snake could escape....

I's just, I don't know where in my bedroom I could fit another long/large tank to. My room is so crowded with six other tanks, my bed, a dresser and a stand. I really have no place for another tank. Maybe I could convinse my mom to let me put the tank with the other corn out in the living room (really no space out their either....... Hmm....... I don't know what to do!!! Help!!!!

Hmm. Nope, you can't house corns together. I'm getting my corn(s) from J&J Reptiles. The candy canes are $25 each, butters are $35 each and amels are $25 each. I know, corns are the "on the go" snakes. They can't stay still.

I would like to get a ball, but I have not done alot or research on them, and plus, their food items are to big. Could a adult male eat hoppers all his life, like a few hoppers each feeding?

What size mouse/mice would a young (hatchling) need to eat? Mice??

Thank you.

Who knows, I may end up buying that tank from acpart and getting ball and a corn snake. I would need another uth (like a big one). I don't know how much that would be........

How much would a 40 gallon tank uth cost me at a show or in a pet store?

Now I am thinking about buying a ball and my mom buying the corn snake. I don't know. The thing that gets me, is I have not done alot of research on balls. I don't want to have the ball in the wrong temps, setup because I didn't have nough time to research on them.......

What should I do??
