What the fuck is going to happen next???

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone or something. I was going to start cleaning a few hatchling tubs so I went to click the tv in the basement on. It wouldn't turn on. I went to check the cord, which is plugged in on a power strip along with my male incubators and computer. It's sitting in a puddle of water on the floor. Something is leaking from my furnace or A/C. I usually had those cords up off the floor in case the basement ever started flooding, but I moved them the other day when re-arranging thermostats.

For some reason the computer didn't shut down, but the male incubators were off because the power strip they were plugged into has a surge protector and it popped. I'm not that worried about the eggs, because it only dropped from 87 to 80. In the mess of cords was the thermostat (a Ranco, go figure) that had been running one of the male incubators. Its power strip has rusty water coming out of it. Fortunately four new Herpstats arrived today from TBF.

Given my recent string of luck, I think I had better get the A/C replaced a.s.a.p. I just feel really retarded having that done on a house I probably won't be living in four weeks from now.

How does that Bloodhound Gang song go? "Lift your head up high and blow your brains out?" Yeah. Something like that. :main_no:

I'm wondering if this is the punishment I get for cursing at the departed. Strange electrical shit like this has been happening in my house ever since my dad died five years ago. It started with a saltwater fish tank that had its sump pump's cord mysteriously CUT and leached stray current and corroding copper (which is highly toxic to marine invertebrates) into the water, killing off the entire tank of corals, inverts and fish (the fish died because of the biological pollution from the other animals dying.) Father's Day and his birthday are coming up really soon.

I know a lot of people don't believe in that shit, but after you've seen a shelf fly off a wall clear across the room and after you've had your dead grandfather talk to your mom through you but leaving you no memory of it, it's hard to deny.

Maybe my house is cursed or something. Moving really sounds like a good idea right now and it can't happen fast enough.

Jersey just knocked a stack of glass petri dishes off a shelf with her constantly-wagging tail, breaking most of them.

I'll drink almost anything right now. I don't have any alcohol in my house, and after spending $4,358.66 on new thermostats and $220.46 on new surge protectors, I probably shouldn't be spending any more money on me right now. (add in all the moving expenses and I'll be eating Ramen noodles and driving a rusted-out '74 Chevy Nova and selling plasma for gas.)

Paul I'd believe it all! My ex husband and I had some strange shit happen in our house. The renters in the front house even asked if we had know the house had ghosts.
