What the heck do I do with these crickets?

OK, so when we got our little Leo, we also got a tub of small crix. But he hasn't really eaten many of them, and now they seem to be getting too big for him - well, there's no 'seem' about it, some are way too big for him. So what do I do with them? Release them in the garden, kill them, or attempt to breed them? If the latter, just how easy/practical is that?

Releasing them in the garden is OK. Breeding them can work, read about it online, but it can be smelly and messy. Another option is to advertise them on craigslist (where do you live?).

I say.....toss them out in the yard. I did so several weeks ago of some crickets prior to receiving my next shipment. I still hear them out there in the yard in the evening. Guess the crickets enjoy the grass and still doing good.

Keep in mind that once you toss them outside, do not try to catch them and feed them to your leos again.
