What the heck is wrong with these people?

Hi

I just surfed a lil bit around Youtube and watched a few animal videos and it really makes me sad to see how some people treat their animal.
Dirty cages,thin unhealthy,wrong husbandary are just the least to mention but it looks like some people just have their animals so they can torture something that doesn't really fight back.
I saw videos of rabbits thrown around,geckos that are tortured so they bite a stupid guy in his nipple and his nose or sprayed with water so they attack the glass of the cage just to name a few.
Why are people like that even getting an animal when they don't care for it,i can understand when people get animals and want to care for it but can't really figure out how(humidity,cagin,diet whatever),but this is just plain wrong.

In most cases, their parents were probably idiots who failed to teach them responsibility and consideration of others. They were taught that anything that they do is pretty much okay regardless of the effect on others. They carry that attitude into their interactions with other people, but they realize that they can only go so far with other people before facing consequences. However, they realize that they can almost do anything that they want to an animal. They revel in their feeling of godlike power over the life of another living thing.

You can blame it on the parents if you want but I do not think it all goes to them. In todays world with the internet as it is anyone can find the proper care for about any animal. I am pretty sure that a parent would help their child if they came to them and asked for the help. All to often a pet is a spur of the moment fad that quickly fades. Reptiles just have not got into peoples head that they are an animal no different than the family dog.

Why do people rob stores, why do people car jack people, why do people kidnap children, why do people kill each other? I could go on... There are a lot of people who obviously don't share the same values as others. If it's depressing to you, don't look it up. You watching their videos and talking about them only encourages that sort of behavior.

It all has to do with education. These people are not educated (or just lazy) about their pets.
