I am curious what you look for in purchasing Leos for breeding purposes. I am guessing this might depend on the morph?

Just wondering if there were certain traits that are more desirable than others. I will admit.. that since I know I won't be moving for another 4 years I'm tempted to at least try my hand at one clutch (though haven't made that choice yet). "If" I do I am thinking Phantom/TUG.

There's two types of thing to consider:
first, that you have a healthy, mature gecko with enough weight no matter what the morph. Generally this is at least 9month old (older than that is better, though) and 50 grams for the female and alert, with a fat tail and eating well.

Second, the specific morph or example of that morph that you are interested in. This relates mostly to what you like, what you want to produce and what you can afford.
