A high yellow with a blizzard?
A albino with a high yellow?
A albino with a blizzard?
A leucistic and a patternless are they same???

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I have been looking for.
I have read just a few and have already answered most of my own questions. :main_laugh:

One thing though= baldy is lacking spots on head. Does that mean color only or the actual bumps on the skin too?

First off...

There is no such thing as a Leucistic Leopard Gecko, there are Patternless.
Now let me get to your genetics questions.
"You crossed a leucistic with a blazing Blizzard?
Normals Triple Het for Patternless,Blizzard, and Either Tremper or Rainwater Albino

A high yellow with a patternless?
High Yellows/Normals All Het for patternless

A blizzard with a blazing blizzard?
Blizzards 100% Het for Tremper or Rainwater Albino

A tremper albino with a blazing blizzard?
Assuming your Blazing Blizzard is Tremper, they would be all Trempers 100% Het Blizzard, if not they will be Normals Triple Het; Rainwater,Tremper, and Blizzard

A high yellow with a blizzard?
Normals/High Yellows Het Blizzard

A albino with a high yellow?
Normals/High Yellows Het for whatever strain of Albino the parent is.

A albino with a blizzard?
Normals Het for Blazing Blizzard

A leucistic and a patternless are they same????
....Simple Answer, yes... But they should not be referred to as Leucistics

It is awesome and so freaking handy. I have learned so much about colors and morphs. It will take a few times reading through and seeing everything to remember most of it. I have it bookmarked to have a good reference to fall on.:main_robin: GREAT SITE!! Thanks for taking the time out to make it easier for newby's like me.:main_thumbsup:

Thanks for answering. It is good to know.
Why do so many people refer to them as leucisitc like on Trempers website and at petsmart and the kid that sold her to me (he works for Tremper).
I will call it a patternless but they market them where I live as leucistic.
I am excited about breeding my Tremper albino with my tremper blazing blizzard. Not sure why but I really think that will be cool. Also my blizzard and blazing blizzard. Good stuff.
Thanks for all the answers and for clarifying the baldy question.

It's very unfortunate that the Murphy Patternless was initially (back in the 90s) mistakenly called "leucistic"-it is nothing of the sort. It was one of the first genetic morphs of leopard gecko to appear, and little was known about the genetics at that time. But it will become a big problem when the inevitable happens-a TRUE leucistic leopard appears!

BTW-Ron Tremper does have a small staff, but none of them sells leopard geckos. The "kid" who you bought from is pulling your leg-he definitely does NOT work for Ron!

The 'old' name used to be leucistic, but a true leucistic leopardgecko doesn't exist yet. The morph should be called Murphy's Patternless as an ode to the man who originated this trait in 1991.

Greets,

Stevie

I see- thanks for filling me in on the leucistics vs patternless.
Well as for the kid working for him- he probably does not work directly for him but he said he works close with tremper. Who knows anyone will blow smoke up your bum to make you happy:main_rolleyes:
