What's wrong with him?

Recently I was given a male snow leopard gecko and it has a couple problems.

I'm not sure if one of his eyes are blind because just now, I took off something that was in it, it was either a wet piece of shed or a semi-dried piece of ooze. His right eye has a big bump behind it and it made his eye really swollen and it has a hole in the middle. I can't tell if it''s a wound or a deformity. Just now he twitched his head around a bit. His mouth seems to be always open (Not completely but enough that you can see his gums) Almost all his toes have thick shed on them and out of his 20 toes, only about 5 or 6 have a nail. Poor thing can't get a grip walking on just about anything. He has a bit of thick shed left covering half his pores (I took off the other half). Right now I put some shedding aid on his toes. Hopefully that'll remove it. Surprisingly through all that, he's a really tame gecko. He's quite big, I'd say he may be 2+ years old and his tail is pretty fat so he's been well-fed at least. So my main question is, what's wrong with his eye? I'd like to know if it's a deformity or a wound.

P.S. I can't seem to find whether he's a mack snow, super snow, mack super snow, or just a regular snow. What morph is he?

He looks like a super snow to me with the possibility that he's het for blizzard given the speckles. the eye problems and the lump sound to me as if he has an infection and possibly an abscess. He really needs a vet visit.

Well, I googled it and it looks like it is an abscess or at least that's the closest thing to look like one. I'll take him to the vet to see what they say.

I've put him in the sink with warm water (About 84 degrees) for about 4 minutes. Surprisingly he stood very still, he didn't move a muscle until I grabbed him out. Sadly though, the water couldn't remove the shed, though it did soften it.

I believe he may be very old, maybe more than 10 years old. I noticed he was licking himself and I managed to see a bit of the inside of the mouth, so out of curiosity, I softly opened his mouth with my nail and he has not a single tooth. I'm very much afraid that he won't be able to eat normally, yet I'm surprised his tail is still decently fat.

I also noticed that his eyes aren't technically blind, rather, he has some sort of sticky substance on them. He has it more on his left eye than his right eye. Whenever he would open his left eye completely, I would take advantage and rub his eye lids to sort of squeeze the substance out of his eye, it's pretty sticky and grey (The grey eye made me think he was blind) I guess due to that he doesn't see very well at all.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can take him to the owner of a reptile shop that has many reptiles (He has his own collection of several different reptiles, not just the ones in the shop and even so, I'd highly doubt he'd sell a gecko with that many injuries) hopefully he''ll take much better care of it than I can

Are you housing him on sand? The same thing happened to my first gecko when I had him on sand, before I knew how bad sand is. The sand got in his eye, causing an infection and blindness. His eye would constantly be covered up by puss, even when I would clean it. He eventually died, but I put my next gecko on paper towels instead of sand and he's healthy as can be!

Ever since I got him, about a month ago now I think, I've had him on a mix of coconut fibers with a bit of mulch. I don't think there's any point anymore to try and clean the puss of his eye anymore, every time I wipe it off or fail to take off a certain bit, it just hardens in his eye and makes it worse. Not sure if the previous owners had him on sand. I currently have another breeding pair on sand, I'm about to change it to something else. Sand can look nice but it's too much work to keep it nice.
